Facebook Auction

Several friends are helping to host/sponsor a Facebook Event for an auction to help bring Brigita home.

We could use people to donate, bid, and share the auction.

If you are interested in any of these, please contact me. Thanks for your help, support, and prayers.

Dossier update

After some unexpected delays due to my agency, I finally received everything I needed for my dossier. I was able to get everything apostilled this week and today put the package in the mail!! I was so excited, I forgot to take a picture of the documents with their apostille, put the documents in the wrong envelope instead of express mail (but we changed this), and then forgot to include the check. We had to open the envelope again so I could put the check in. I know that postal man couldn't wait for me to get out of there. I was just so excited! This is why I have a check list for everything. I cannot remember anything anymore. And it seems the more important it is, the more likely I am to screw it up worrying and obsessing about it.

The agency has undergoing their Hague accredidation visit. I am glad there are the provisions to ensure everything goes well and completely understand that there are times when other people's priorities are not the same as ours. So, the dossier didn't get sent off exactly when I would have liked but the end result will still be the same...a completely legal adoption with all the safeguards for everyone involved and all in accordance to God's will and timing. In the end, financially it was better for me that things happened this way. My laptop completely died and I had to purchase a new one in the midst of this adoption. So, I was able to purchase that without having to worry too much about it delaying my adoption process since it was already being delayed anyway. My agency will receive the dossier tomorrow and hopefully will be able to review and send the dossier to Brigita's country next week.

I would also like to thank some people that have helped me tremendously: Cruz, Jessica, and Kelly!!! Thank you so much for the notarizing!!! I cannot tell you how much this means to me personally and financially!!!

I will try to work on a summary of adoption expenses and what is left over the weekend. I have a pretty good idea where everything stands but want to look at it again so I'll know for sure.

Tsveti

[Lynette%255B2%255D.jpg]

Today's post is about the beautiful little girl in the picture above.
To Reece's Rainbow, she has been known as Lynnette.

She was born in 2000.

She was the size of a 3yo.

She couldn't walk,
but would stand in her crib looking over the side all day.

She never learned to talk,
but would smile and laugh when someone gave her attention.

Yesterday was her last day in her "specialized institution"

Not because she was adopted.
Not because her family came back for her.

Yesterday, this 12 year old little girl breathed her last breath.

She died an orphan,
never knowing the love of a mom, dad, and family,
possibly alone and scared,
maybe hopeless, tired, and defeated.

Her name was Tsveti.
Today we remember her not for the life she lived,
but for the existence she suffered.

In Loving Memory of Tsveti 2000-2012
